Education and Background:
Teyhou Smyth is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (IMF #95707) and Registered Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (PCCI #13833) focusing on Emotion Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine Graduate School of Psychology in Malibu, California.
Originally from the United Kingdom, Teyhou earned her B.A in Psychology from the University of Southern California and completed a M.A. in Sociology at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Teyhou went on to complete a second Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at the California School of Professional Psychology.

Teyhou is also a certified Heart Math Provider, which enables her to provide biofeedback to clients. This can be highly effective in reducing stress, self-regulating emotions, and building the resilience necessary to lead a healthy and happy life.
Ms. Smyth places high value on personal development and wellness allowing for the achievement of one’s full potential, which ultimately leads to living a fulfilled life.
As someone who comes from a multicultural and international background, Teyhou has a unique insight when it comes to people from different cultures and ethnicities.
She uses this insight to help people understand themselves, giving them the tools to lead a more fulfilling and self-aware life.
Teyhou Smyth divides her time between Los Angeles, London, and Dublin.
In her spare time, Teyhou enjoys being physically active. Her interests include horseback riding, skiing, dance, surfing, and traveling to new and exotic places. Teyhou is also fluent in Farsi.
