Life Transitions

Most of us develop a sense of comfort in our daily routines. When unanticipated circumstances arise, sometimes we are forced to break out of our regular comfort zones to deal with them. An unexpected change of plans can be challenging in and of itself. However, these unforeseen transitions are profoundly challenging. Difficult circumstances such as divorce or the loss of a family member can be incredibly difficult to cope.

Throughout our lives, we all deal with major transitions. Some of these transitions are positive, such as marriage, the birth of a child, or a new job. However, sadness, nervousness, anxiety, insomnia, or other emotional distress can arise even when we find the prospect of change exciting.

Change can be scary. However, it often opens up new opportunities that we never even knew existed. Often, it takes another person with a different perspective to help us fully understand a life transition and how it affects us. If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, fatigued, or depressed by any transition in your life, consult a mental health professional. Teyhou and her team are highly skilled at helping individuals through life transitions.
